Alcohol Abuse Reduction Program

The Heartland Educational Consortium, through the Alcohol Abuse Reduction Program, is providing instructional and support services to eight high schools in the Consortium.
There are three main components to our program. The first component is a substance abuse prevention curriculum, Project TND; the second facet is Social Norms marketing / SADD Chapters; and the third component is a research based substance abuse prevention program, Teen Intervene.
The Alcohol Abuse Reduction Program is also building sustainable school/community partnerships, connecting dedicated teachers and student leaders, to local Drug Free Coalitions and civic organizations.
